Where it started.
Carrie Roque was all about loving and helping others so she was involved in many acts of civil duty such as being part of the Federation of Colored Women’s Club and being present of several civic clubs who would perform acts of charity. Les Paul was able to witness his mother attend college and graduate in her late late 40’s to become a nurse. That caring attitude bled into even fostering several children and raising them into adulthood. Roque was raised seeing his mother involved in her community and enjoyed helping others, which trailed into the rest of his life.
How it Carries On.
Les Paul Roque believes it’s our mission to act with honesty and integrity to support underrepresented children and their families in the areas of arts and education. Roque, a well-accomplished musician, has played with and recorded with many artists, even touring around the globe with his own group and the artists, he sees that success is nothing without giving back. Launched in 1996, A Gift From Music became the avenue where musicians could give back. Through annual fundraisers that hosts live music entertainment, these proceeds are put forth to supplement families in need with basic essentials, meals, clothes, and toys for the children. This is truly giving back to his local communities which has warmed the hearts and homes of many and much more to come!
